I, Rhonda D. Long, hereafter referred to as SELLER, agree to sell ____________________________________, hereafter referred to as BUYER, a German Shepherd dog/bitch by the name of _________________________________________ as a ( pet, working/show prospect). The information identifying the dog is as follows: AKC NUMBER:_________________________________________; TATOO NUMBER:_________________________________________; WHELPED:______________________________ SIRE________________________________ DAM_______________________________________. The above dog/bitch is being sold for the price of $___________________ which includes a non-refundable deposit of $_____________________. In addition, the amount of $30.00 is added for the German registration (USA Addition) papers. The total price of the above dog is then, $_____________________. This will hold the above dog/bitch until _______________________________________. The full amount must be paid prior to the release of the above dog/bitch and the transfer of ownership papers. If other arrangements are made, and agreed to by both parties, they will be under ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS.

The Buyer is responsible for any shipping fees related to the above animal. If the Buyer fails to perform his/her obligations as per this agreement, the Seller may repossess the above dog and retain the deposit plus reasonable expenses, including legal fees if necessary.

The Seller guarantees the health of the above dog/bitch for seventy-two (72) working hours after it leaves the Seller's possession, or by a health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian. The Seller is not responsible for loss or injury to this dog once it leaves the Seller's actual possession. The Buyer should  have this dog examined by a licensed veterinarian within the 72-hour period to verify its health at the time of sale. If a health problem is found at this time, the Buyer shall immediately contact the Seller. The Seller is not responsible for any bills accrued by the Buyer unless authorized by the Seller or seen by a mutually agreed upon vet. If necessary, the Buyer may return the dog for a replacement/credit providing the dog is returned in the same condition in which it was sold and another pup is available. NO CASH REFUNDS unless stipulated in the Additional Conditions. Providing that the Buyer takes good care of this dog and follows feeding and exercise guidelines provided in the Puppy Care packet provided with each pup/dog, the Seller further guarantees the above dog against hip crippling until one (1) year of age. If found to be hip crippled (defined as moderate to severe dysplasia) the seller will replace the dog with one of the same sex and similar age as this dog at the time of sale. The replacement will be made within one year, upon availability of pups, and upon proof that the above animal has never been bred and has been neutered/spayed. Only one (1) replacement dog will be provided. Puppies purchased as working and/or show prospects are guaranteed to A-stamp under the German SV system. Further Guarantees may be discussed individually and written into the Additional Conditions.

The Seller also claims the right of first refusal. This means that if the Buyer chooses to sell, give away, or otherwise dispose of the above animal, the Seller has the first option on the dog. The Seller may be able to help in the placement of the dog if such a need arises.  The Seller would also like to see this dog at eight to twelve months of age as the dog is part of a breeding program and evaluation is important for future breedings.
